CPEC: Allama Iqbal Industrial City Faisalabad to generate 300,000 jobs, draw Rs400 billion investment

Allama Iqbal Industrial City Faisalabad is established under CPEC and is intended to create job opportunities around 300,000 and attract investment worth Rs400 billion.

  • Chemicals,

According to a report of China Economic Net, the project will not only help to stabilize imports but also contribute to the GDP and increase exports.

Recently, Prime Minister Imran Khan has performed a groundbreaking ceremony of the project to mark the start of the construction. The groundbreaking of the Allama Iqbal Industrial City was the first groundbreaking of an Industrial land under CPEC.

The central locality of the city on the eastern course of CPEC provides the perfect conditions to set up new state-of-the-art industries.

Faisalabad, the Manchester of Pakistan

Faisalabad is the third-largest economic city of Pakistan. The city is also known as the Manchester of Pakistan due to its Textile industry. The city brings one of the largest development budgets worth $5 billion of exports from the textile sector.

Faisalabad is also a manufacturer of manufacturing goods and textile businesses including, silk and cotton textiles, hosiery, industrial chemicals, super phosphates, clothing, tissue, paper, agriculture equipment, and beverages.

Faisalabad’s collaboration with Chinese entrepreneurs will not only increase the economic growth of the country but will also provide employment opportunities to a large number of people.
