CPEC: MVM Energy and YUTONG sign MoU for the production of electric buses in Pakistan

The main objective behind introducing this type of transport system is to make Pakistan world’s most sustainable, zero-emission and clean-green progressive country.

More electric buses on the roads mean fewer cars, less greenhouse gas emissions, cleaner air, less pollution, and above all, cheaper travel.

MVM, a multinational company, has signed a memo of understanding through CPEC initiatives with YUTONG. This initiative will help bring economic growth in Pakistan.

However, officially the project will be launched in February 2020. During the launch of the project, MVM-YUTONG will perform a trial run for electric vehicles.

The main objective behind introducing this type of transport system is to make Pakistan the world’s most sustainable, zero-emission and clean green progressive country.

Initially, the EV of YUTONG will be integrated into the metro buses of Pakistan and then eventually expanded to other transportation modes.

 YOTONG:

YOTONG is a Chinese manufacturing company, which is involved in making vehicles, particularly electric buses. When it comes to sales volume, the company has become the world’s biggest bus producer since 2016.

MVM:

It is the largest power company from Hungary, working to produce and distribute electricity.
