PM Khan To Soon Initiate Rashakai Special Economic Zone That Will Create 250,000 Jobs
According to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Prime Minister Imran Khan is soon about to initiate the Rashakai Economic Zone.
Under this economic zone, about 250,000 locals will get jobs in the project that started under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
While addressing a public meeting at Palodand in Saleem Khan, Mahmood said that extension of Swat Expressway to Badian, Chitral-Shandoor Road, construction of expressway in DI Khan and a number of other projects have been included in the CPEC.
Former provincial health minister Shahram Khan Tarakai did not take part in the meeting, even though it was held in his native district. This shows that the differences between the KP government and ousted ministers are yet to be solved.
Mahmood Khan said the government had allotted Rs. 83 billion for the development of tribal districts, as the provincial government had standardized the services of 41,000 Levies personnel after combining them with the provincial police.
The government has reached an agreement, under which 18MW electricity is to be given to Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate from Pehur High-Level Canal (PHLC).
“The industry will get electricity at Rs7 per unit’’, the chief minister said.
He added that the PHLC extension project will cost Rs. 18 billion and irrigate 250,000 acres of land once completed.
The chief minister said that the artificial price hike will be controlled, and prices of the necessary commodities will be cut down.
The provincial government is concerned about the welfare of the people and an improved economy will benefit the common man.
The government is taking big steps for development in the province, including merged districts. Mahmood said that his top priority was to provide relief to people with low income.
The minister insisted that his government had a zero-tolerance policy for corruption in public sector departments.
