CPO Rawalpindi’s gesture of returning confiscated jackets to roadside vendor wins hearts

He went down himself, apologized for the incident and returned the jackets to the poor vendor.

Punjab police is seen making the headlines, usually for all the wrong reasons. However, this time, their heart-touching act has warmed people’s hearts. A poor roadside vendor, whose jackets were confiscated by police earlier, was not only returned his products but the CPO Multan also apologized for causing inconvenience.

A couple days ago, a video showing police officials confiscating used leather jackets from the vendor’s cart made rounds on social media.

After the video went viral, Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younus took notice of the incident, ordering an inquiry into the case and suspending two officials who were linked with it. Not just this, what he did next not only increased public trust but also touched many people.

He went down himself, apologized for the incident and returned the jackets to the poor vendor.

CPO said that strict action will be taken against anyone who will be seen exploiting the poor. He added that citizens will be protected at any cost.
