Cricket world reacts to Pakistan’s thumping victory over India

Not just Pakistan and India but the whole world had their eyes on the biggest rivalry in cricket.

Babar Azam and Virat Kohli before the Indian and Pakistan match.Pakistan cricket’s fans are finally able to celebrate a world cup victory against their arch-rival, India. The Men in Green cruised to a 10-wickets victory over India in their first match of the ongoing T20 world cup.

Babar XI outplayed Virat Kohli’s men in every department of the game to register their first-ever win in an ICC World Cup. Shaheen Shah Afridi‘s fiery spell to get rid of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul early in the game set the tone for the lads in Green.

Despite India’s record in the world cup against Pakistan, nobody wrote the green shirts off due to their unpredictable nature. Muhammad Rizwan and skipper Babar Azam made things look easy as they comfortably chased down the target with ten wickets in hand.

Not just Pakistan and India but the whole world had their eyes on the biggest rivalry in cricket. Reacting to Pakistan’s victory, Michael Vaughan wrote, “that is what you call hammering the favorites.”

In another tweet, he added that Babar Azam is the best player in the world across all formats.

Former Australian cricketer, Shane Warne, thinks Pakistan is now the favourite to win  the world cup. He also heaped praise on Babar Azam.

Cricket Commentator, Mike Haysman, was also all praise for the ‘sensational and skillful’ performance from Pakistan.

Alan Wilkins termed Shaheen Shah Afridi as a “captain’s dream for Babar Azam.”

Australian cricket journalist, Dennis Freedman, didn’t miss a chance to troll India. He came up with a number of hilarious tweets.

Indian journalist, Vikrant Gupta, wrote, “Brilliant cricket by Pakistan. No ifs, no buts. They were aggressive from the first to the last ball.”

Shoaib Akhtar shared a video of cricket fans celebrating Pakistan’s victory.

Sri Lankan cricket journalist also trolled the Indian cricket team.

“What a thumping win by boys in green,” wrote Wasim Akram.

Darren Sammy wrote that Pakistan looks like a team on a mission. He also congratulated Pakistan cricket team.

Australian cricketer, Usman Khawaja, was happy to see the display of sportsmanship from the two sides.

Graeme Swann praised the ‘phenomenal performance from Pakistan’.
