David Rose who is the writer for Daily Mail and an investigative journalist has time and again got the attention of Pakistani people and media alike by criticizing those who have been enjoying the leverage of power within Pakistan. He caught the attention of media headlines by blaming the Shahbaz Sharif for involving in the embezzlement of earthquake funds.

In his revelations that were published in the Daily Mail, he wrote: “The investigators say that the politician who was also the chief minister of Punjab, has embezzled tens of millions of pounds of UK public money and laundered it in Britain.”

He also claimed that the investigators are convinced that some of the alleged stolen money came from DFID-funded aid projects. Sharifs, however, called the allegations against them as a product of political witch-hunt ordered by the incumbent premier of the country.

Shahbaz Sharif also vowed to challenge the allegations legally something that Mr.David recalled as yet to be implemented a couple of days ago. Now at the time when the royal couple is on a days-long trip to Pakistan, Mr. David has once again made use of his social media account to point fingers at Sharifs.

David Rose said in his tweet: “Wonderful that HRH the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are visiting Pakistan, and thankfully they won’t be meeting Shahbaz Sharif. But they will see the High Commissioner who posted this absurd tweet in 2018. A pity he was so taken in by a man now facing such serious allegations!”

David did not end up saying this and added that Mr. Sharif says the UK has been a “great development partner” for Pakistan. A pity then that his own family is alleged to have stolen and money-laundered billions of rupees, much of it via the UK, while he was chief minister.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently on 5 days trip to Pakistan and the couple is the first to visit the country from the British Royals since 2006. According to a media report, lunch has also been arranged at the Prime Minister’s House in the honor of the royal guests.
