Mysterious dead body of a woman found outside Prince William and Kate Middleton’s official residence
Although the investigation is still going on, the police don't consider the death 'suspicious' and are treating it as 'unexplained' at the moment.
London’s Metropolitan Police have found a woman’s body in a pond outside the Kensington Palace, which is Prince Willam and Kate Middleton’s official residence.
The discovery was made when Kate and William were on a family vacation with the queen at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. It is unsure if any other royals, who live at Kensington, were there when the body was found.
According to sources, police were called to Kensington Gardens W2 at 7:09 am on Saturday (29th August 2020), and a report was made for the safety of a woman in Round Pond. The woman was announced dead at the scene, and the cause of death is yet to be determined.
Although the investigation is still going on, the police don’t consider the death ‘suspicious’ and are treating it as ‘unexplained’ at the moment.
The police made a mistake in identifying the body at the start as they notified the family of Endellion Lycett Green, the granddaughter of the late poet laureate John Betjeman, that she had passed away. Later, her brother John Lycett Green said Endellion Green had been missing for a week but was found alive and safe.
Other than the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank also live at the above-mentioned palace. William and Kate had moved back to the Kensington Palace apartment after spending the quarantine at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
