The government of Pakistan has decided to move the UK authorities to deport the convicted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The decision came two days after the Punjab government decided to not extend PML-N chief’s bail.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that now is the right time to bring Nawaz Sharif back to the country. She also said that Sharif did not provide his medical reports to the Punjab government, calling his sickness as a ‘fixed match’.

“The government will write to British authorities for Sharif brothers’ deportation,” said Awan. She added that in the next week, the concerned authorities would take relevant action in this regard.

Awan also called out a segment of media for portraying that if the government is not allowing Sharif to leave, putting his life in danger.
