SriLankan Captain Declares Pakistan 200% Safe For Cricket
Talking about the security, Dimuth Karunaratne said it was 200%.
Test cricket finally returned to Pakistan for the first time in over a decade.
After successfully hosting limited over series in the country, the Pakistan Cricket Board decided to shift its focus towards bringing test cricket back to the country. Sri Lankan Cricket team, just as always, decided to help Pakistan in this regard and agreed to play the two test match series in Pakistan.
The two test match series successfully concluded and Dimuth Karunaratne is pretty much satisfied with the security arrangements made during the tour. Talking about the security, Dimuth Karunaratne said it was 200%.
The security was really good. They were like fathers for us. They kept talking to us and they were right behind us every time.
“When we were going out to eat or something, they were there. We were feeling secure and safe here. They’ve done a really good job. Pakistan fans are really good – they kept supporting us”.
He also urged other cricket playing nations to visit Pakistan as it is not dangerous anymore to play cricket here.
“What I can say is that it’s really safe here and that all the other countries playing cricket – they can come and playtests, T20s or one-dayers – it’s safe to play in Pakistan,” he added.

The SriLankan captain expressed his disappointment after losing the second test and series. Pakistani captain Azhar Ali was happy to finally get an opportunity to play test cricket in front of the home crowd.
