Disappointed Fawad Rana might end up selling Lahore Qalandars

Former Pakistan cricketer Tanvir Ahmed said that if things continue this way, Fawad Rana might end up selling Lahore Qalandars. The performance of the team has been quite disappointing in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Islamabad United defeated Lahore Qalandars with a 71 runs margin, the largest in the history of PSL. Speaking in a YouTube video, Tanvir said that if the team continues to perform this way, Rana will be left with no other option than to sell it.
“If things don’t change, Rana Fawad might sell his franchise to someone else. The franchise spends a lot of money every year and conducts nation-wide talent hunt trials but the team disappoints on the field every season. What’s the point of trials if the team does not perform?”, Tanvir said.
Qalandars are currently on the last spot on the PSL table after securing only one win in 5 matches. Tanvir also criticized the team for including opener Salman Butt in the lineup in place of out-of-form left-hander Fakhar Zaman.
”Salman Butt is not a T20 specialist and it made no sense to include him in the playing XI at the expense of Fakhar Zaman. They were doing pretty well in the powerplay overs, even if Zaman was not performing, so it was wrong to change the opener,” he said.
