Doctor shares a photo of after-COVID shifts and people can’t thank her enough!
Frontline worker, Baakh Nusrat, shares the aftermath of COVID ward shifts thinking that she might need a new face after its over.
As the pandemic has rapidly intensified workers’ daily lives in healthcare facilities around the world, doctors and nurses have urged other people to stay at home to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Simultaneously, the health care workers themselves have been pushed to the front line of an outbreak that has already claimed thousands of lives, putting themselves in harm’s way both physically and mentally.
Nurses, doctors, and other healthcare workers around the world share pictures of their bruised faces after working for several hours at hospitals wearing protective masks and goggles treating patients with COVID-19. On social media, health care workers have been sharing anecdotes about their experience and photos of their tired faces, marked by the protective gear they wear in hopes of not getting infected.
