Indian cricketers have always been treated differently from the rest owing to the influence of cash-rich Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In such an instance, India’s pacer Muhammad Siraj has gotten away with throwing and hitting the batter with the ball during the test match between India and South Africa.

In the 62nd over the of the match, Temba Bavuma defended a ball back towards Siraj, the pacer picked the ball and hit the Protease batter right on the shin. The Indian cricketer apologised but Bavuma went down in pain as the physio rushed to the ground to treat Bavuma.

Despite the fact that Siraj’s ‘unnecessary’ aggression could have gotten Bavuma seriously injured, the match referee decided against imposing any fine on him. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was fined for a similar act against Bangladesh. The left arm pacer was fined 15% of his match fee.

  • Shaheen Afridi proved himself that he has a bad temper.
    He needs to control himself.
Otherwise he would get bad name not only for him but for his country and surrounding as well.
