Dr Adib Rizvi becomes the first ever Pakistani doctor honored by British Association of Urological Surgeons

Renowned doctor and philanthropist, Professor Dr. Adibul Hasan Rizvi, has become the first-ever Pakistani doctor to receive the honorary membership of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS). With having a distinguished name in his profession, Dr Adib is also a known social worker and is also the director of the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT).

He was awarded the prestigious membership in a ceremony held this Tuesday. In his citation, Dr Asif Munir,  the visiting secretary-designate of BAUS, who conferred the certificate to Dr Adib Rizvi, recalled and appreciated his prestigious services to the professional and Pakistan’s medical sphere. He appreciated significant and exemplary contributions by the iconic surgeon over the past several decades.

Being a urologist himself, he commented on the vision of Dr Rizvi, calling it truly inspirational and brave. He said that the way Dr Adib has set the example, becoming a role model himself fighting against the plight of the people. Dr Asif said that the philosophy and vision of Dr Rizvi needs to be emulated.
