Dr. Anoosh Masood Chaudhary becomes the first woman to head police operations in Lahore

In an exciting new development, the Punjab inspector general (IG) of Police has selected the first woman to head police operations in Lahore.

The IG appointed the woman as senior superintendent (SSP) for Lahore’s operations wing, besides reshuffling six other officers. Dr. Anoosh Masood Chaudhary has been appointed the head of Lahore police operations vice Mustansar Feroz, who has been asked to report to the Central Police Office or CPO further instruction.

Dr. Anoosh is the first female police officer posted as SSP Operations Lahore. Before this, she has served in Lahore as SP in Cantonment and Model Town police divisions, besides serving as ASP or Assistant Superintendent. According to the notification issued, SP Ejaz Ahmad, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as AIG complaints at the CPO. On the other hand, awaiting posting SP Mohammad Umar Farooq has been transferred and posted as additional director at SPU or Special Protection Unit.

SP Shoaib Mahmood has been transferred and posted as AIG Logistics at the CPO, SP Mohammad Faisal was transferred and posted as battalion commander at PC Rawalpindi and Bahawalnagar SP Farooq Ahmad Awan, transferred and directed to report to the CPO.

Before this, Dr. Anoosh also became Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s first woman Assistant Superintendent of Police.
