Drama Serial Bakhtawar Tells The Real Life Story Of Farheen Ishtiaq Who Dresses Up As Man To Make A Living

Drama serial Bakhtawar is getting a great deal of love from fans these days. It is currently one of the top Pakistani dramas on the big screen. 

However, you would be surprised to know that Bakhtawar isn’t just a fictional script but rather based on a real story of a courageous woman from Karachi, Farheen Ishtiaq Naqvi. She is currently living in Lahore.

It has been penned by Nadia Akhtar and the production duty has been performed by Momina Duraid. The HUM TV drama tells the real-life story of Farheen, who changed her appearance to look like a man to escape the day-to-day harassment and bias women face every day.

Yumna Zaidi, Zaviyar Nauman Ejaz, Saqib Sameer, Mizna Waqas, Noreen Gulwani, Shamoon Abbasi, Sunil Shankar, Huma Nawab, and Adnan Shah Tipu are among the leading cast of the drama.

Farheen Ishtiaq Naqvi has been doing all sorts of jobs to feed her only daughter. She started with a job and later opened her small business in Lahore’s Anarkali. She came forward to tell her story to the world when things improved a little for her.

Replying to a Facebook post about her life, Farheen said that she is still struggling in her life. She added that following her mother’s death, things have gone from bad to worse.

Farheen also shared details for people who wants to help her.
