The registration for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme under which financial assistance of Rs12,000 will be provided will close today at midnight (April 19th). If you or anyone you know is in need of help, apply in the following steps.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has formally launched a nation-wide SMS service under the ‘Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program’. The program is aimed at helping the underprivileged, particularly those who have been worse hit by economic crisis during COVID-19 lockdown.
Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Dr. Sania Nishtar shared the details on Twitter.

Here’s how you can apply:
Step 1:
Send your CNIC number to 8171
Step 2:
If CNIC is valid, you automatically move to the next step. If not, you will get a message stating that “your CNIC number is not eligible for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program.”
Step 3:
If the applicant is blocked due to sanity profiling, he would be notified via SMS. If not, you will move to the next step.
Step 4:
If you or your spouse is a government employee, you are not eligible for the Ehsas Emergency Cash Programme. You will be notified via SMS. If not, you will move on to the next step.
Step 5:
If the CNIC number is present in the NSER (National Socio-Economic Registry) DataBase and it is eligible for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program, you will be notified via SMS accordingly about how to receive the cash grant.
Step 6:
If the CNIC is not present in the NSER (National Socio-Economic Registry) DataBase then you will be notified via SMS. To resolve the issue, you would be asked to contact Regional Offices to apply for the program.
If your CNIC is not present in the NSER database, please contact your appropriate Ehsaas Registration Center to apply for the program. The list of centers is in the link below.
