Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program to reopen from September 5. Here's all you need to know

Last year, this program awarded 50,762 undergraduate students with a scholarship of Rs. 5 billion. Around 132,192 students applied for the scholarship through The HEC's online portal.

The Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship program applications for the upcoming session 2020-21 will commence from the 5th of September. This program covers 119 public sector universities. Under the scholarship program, tuition fees are covered, and a living stipend is provided.

Last year, this program awarded 50,762 undergraduate students with a scholarship of Rs. 5 billion. Around 132,192 students applied for the scholarship through The HEC\\’s online portal.

This year, the steering committee of the program is set to follow the same suit. Students who are planning to study in the public sector universities must submit their applications in the upcoming week.

It should be noted that the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM), Dr. Sania Nishtar, and Chairman Higher Education Commission, Dr. Tariq Banuri are governing the scholarship program. Regarding scholarships this year, Dr. Nishtar said:

This year, too, 50,000 students will be awarded the undergraduate scholarship. 50 percent of the quota will be assigned to girls, which will help motivate them to pursue further studies and relieve financial distress. The four-year Rs. 24 billion scholarship program aims to support 200,000 students from poverty-ridden or low-income backgrounds.

Dr. Banuri assured:

This year, the scholarship will be awarded on merit, and full transparency will be ensured through the joint monitoring and evaluation committee.

  • Sir please be the voice of thousands ofevening students , they are not getting any assistant neither from universties nor from govt. while we are more deserving because of high fee burdens on us and we also gets seats on merit

I study in university of okara.Our uni started our program BS Biotechnology in evening as a first bage.I think that was not based on Policies because Sir every program start in morning as a first bage but our Uni started our program in evening that’s why we are in evening and not availing any scholarship.Kindly Sir think about ourself we are on merit.We also need scholarahip so that we will manage our issues.It will be a great kind.Thank you!

Sir I belong to a poor family so, sir I can’t bear the expenses of University and Hostel. So plz sir help me. Thanks
