Ehsan Mani clears the air regarding New Zealand and England tour
Here's all he said!
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) – Ehsan Mani – has responded to media reports about some New Zealand cricket team’s players raising security concerns for their upcoming tour to Pakistan.
Ehsan Mani believes that both the tours of England and New Zealand will go as per schedule despite uncertainty surrounding the two tours. New Zealand and England will be in Pakistan for a white ball cricket series in September and October. The two teams will be visiting Pakistan after almost two decades.
Few days ago, a New Zealand daily reported that following the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, some Kiwi players have security concerns.
“Cricket is taking place [in Pakistan] and we have New Zealand coming in September followed by England in October. There are no problems in hosting matches in Pakistan,” Mani told Times of India.
Security delegations from both England and New Zealand will soon be in Pakistan to assess the security arrangements. The Kiwis will arrive on September 11 for three one-day internationals and five T20 matches. The England cricket team will arrive later this year.
