Pakistan’s fastest growing OMC introduces EV charging facilities at its retail outlets

These chargers will be manufactured by ABB (ASEA Brown Boveri) which is a is a Swiss-Swedish multinational corporation.

Pakistan’s fastest-growing oil marketing company; Gas & Oil Pakistan Limited (GO) has become the first OMC in Pakistan to introduce Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities at its retail outlets.

An inauguration ceremony was held on the 15th of May 2020 for the first charging outlet installed at GO’s Company Owned & Operated Outlet, COCO-3 near the Expo Centre in Lahore.

As a responsible corporate entity, GO aims to be at the forefront of taking initiatives for the environment.

Chairman & CEO, GO, Khalid Riaz said EVs are making an entry into Pakistan and GO’s EV chargers will provide freedom to travel wherever our customers want to go while using this environment-friendly mode of transport.

Talking to GO customers at the inauguration event, Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer, Ammar  Ali Talaat, stated that GO plans to roll out EV chargers at key sites across the network including motorways and major national highways.

It will facilitate the EV owners as they would be able to travel through Pakistan without range anxiety, as they will be able to charge at one of GO’s retail outlets.

These chargers will be manufactured by ABB (ASEA Brown Boveri), which is a Swiss-Swedish multinational corporation.

    I wish Pakistan also start producing solar panels, batteries and mobile phone.
