‘Elon Musk, Malala, Mark Zuckerberg may mark their presence at Pakistan’s Think Future Conference’

Minister announced it in a press conference, shedding light on the efforts being made by the incumbent government.

Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Google CEO and Malala to be a part of Think Future conference.

In a significant step forward and a commendable effort to promote technological advancement in Pakistan, Federal Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Ch has announced to arrange a science fair.

Pakistan’s Think Future conference is intended to bring the World’s attention towards Pakistan, encourage the field and expand its scope. With the highly ambitious objectives set behind it, the one of its kind conferences will also host big tech names.

Fawad announced that he has invited Elon Musk, Bill Gates, CEO of Google, Mark Zuckerberg and Malala Yousafzai to be a part of the conference.

“We are sending invitations to Tesla owner Elon Musk, Bill Gates, CEO of Google and Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg to attend the conference in Pakistan,” the minister said.

Elon Musk and Malala Yousafzai are expected to confirmedly attend the conference, while others will mark their presence as well.

Think Future Conference to take place on October 17:

The conference will take place on October 17th, the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. With the name having significant importance in Pakistan’s historical context, he is also known as a Muslim scholar with extensive work in the field of religion, science, and their correlation.

“October 17 is the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan (Muslim scholar in British India), the day the international science conference will be held,” he said addressing a press conference in the federal capital.

 ‘Ruet’ and the lunar calendar:

“It would be an honor for the country if the lunar calendar is approved by Muslim countries at the next Organisation of Islamic Cooperation conference”

The minister said he will request the federal cabinet in its upcoming meeting to formally abolish Ruet-e-Hilal committee and replace the moon sighting process with the lunar calendar.

He added that Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates has lauded the effort, and if it is accepted by them as well, it would be the first-ever undisputed calendar of the Muslim world.
