Provincial Finance Ministry of Punjab has launched the ePay Punjab App to facilitate the business to government and public to government transactions. The app is launched in collaboration with the central bank and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

The app facilitates the online payment of taxes in just a single click. It enables the users to pay their token tax, sales tax on services, business registration fees, and property tax. Some other taxes that can be paid via the new app are motor vehicle registration, infrastructure development tax, cotton fee, fard fee, e-stamping, and transfer of motor vehicle tax.

“ePay Punjab is a first-ever government payment aggregator in Punjab for Public to Government (P2G) and Business to Government (B2G) payments bringing 12 taxes/levies and 4 departments under one roof,” a statement shared by the PITB’s Twitter account read.

The new facility enables users to facilitate taxes through ATM, OTC, and internet banking and challan would also be generated once the payment is done making it convenient. About 12 levies can be paid through the functioning of this app.

Provincial Information Minister Hashim Bakht was the guest of honor at the launching ceremony of the ePay Punjab. The application would also allow citizens to generate a seventeen digit unique PSID number to pay for taxes.
