Experts speculate on the expected ‘Price of the Proton SAGA’

A new sedan is expected to arrive soon in the Pakistani auto market – the Proton SAGA. Earlier, exclusive pictures of the car were revealed by the auto company, which excited Pakistanis further. Now the locals are in serious anticipation of further details to hit the internet.
According to reports, the Proton SAGA will enter the sedan segment of the Pakistani auto market. Its main competitors will be old players like the Toyota Yaris and the Honda City, along with new players like the Changan Alsvin.
Expected Price of the Proton SAGA:
According to sources, Al-Haj FAW Motors’ claim that the car’s actual price (without any taxes) will be Rs. 850,000. Meanwhile, the import duty and taxes on the vehicle amount to Rs. 7,50,000, which will make the car’s worth around Rs. 15-16 lacs.
Therefore, experts believe that the car will be priced at around Rs. 20 lacs to Rs. 22 lacs. At this price point, the Proton SAGA will be able to present tough competition to the Alsvin.
The number of CBU Units of the Proton SAGA Arrived in Pakistan:
Sources state that the company has imported around 20 units of the vehicle at the start of this month. The sources further share that there are two variants of the SAGA; the first variant is the simple version, while the second one is a sports variant.
