Ghulam Mustafa Arain, the BDS in charge, told reporters that dynamite, RDX, and other highly explosive materials were fused to make the “non-electric” explosive device.

He added that the bomb device was attached to the safety fuse.

The squad defused the bomb by exploding its detonator from a small bomb prepared by bomb disposal experts.

The explosive device was sent to a laboratory for forensic examination, Arain added.
