Fact Check: Is the person in the viral video Lt Gen (r) Ahmad Shuja Pasha?
For the last couple of days, a video attributed to former ISI chief Lt Gen (r) Ahmad Shuja Pasha has been going viral on social media. The video has been widely shared across Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp.
The person in the video levelled serious allegations against Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa. He added that the military chief will destroy Pakistan’s nuclear assets.

Is the person really General Pasha?
The video which has been shared on social media doesn’t include the first ten seconds of it, where the person introduces himself as Captain Ejaz Raja. After the video went viral, Captain Ejaz seems to have deleted his YouTube channel.

It is not the first time that such a propaganda has been spread against General Bajwa. Earlier, former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Mirza Aslam Beg, Maj-Gen (r) Aijaz Hussain Awan, and Lt-Gen (r) Mohammad Haroon Aslam had termed the social media messages attributed to them as fake.
