Fafen data reveals that PTI was most popular among men, PMLN among women in GE 2018
Free and Fair Election Network or Fafen, after doing an analysis of about 35,988 if these polling stations, concluded the voting choices of not only males but females as well.
According to the analysis of the results of the 2018 General Elections, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz or PML-N has known to be the prioritized party among the female voters. On the other hand, PTI emerged to be the preferred party among the male voters which has falsified the misconception that ‘’Imran Khan’’ is the most voted for among the female voters.
As per the data, 35,988 out of 79,493 polling stations were present for both the female and male voters. Free and Fair Election Network or Fafen, after doing an analysis of about 35,988 if these polling stations, concluded the voting choices of not only males but females as well. Since it is a hard job to do an analysis of the combined polling stations of both male and female therefore, Fafen has separately brought under consideration the polling stations.
According to the data gathered by Fafen, PML-N has been considered as a winner in about 14,455 electoral areas in the male polling stations throughout the country and it also emerged victorious in over 17,020 electoral polling stations on the female side.
On the other hand, PTI won about 19,771 electoral areas of the female polling stations. PPP won 852 votes in the male polling stations and 1,349 on the female side. Coming to Tehrik-e-Labaik Pakistan which emerged to be successful in securing about 221 votes in the electoral areas of female polling stations and about 302 on the male’s side.
PPP however, has emerged the leading party among the female voters on the Sindh end by winning about 6,250 electoral areas of female polling stations. PTI secured the most male votes with a number of about 7,004 votes.
When it comes to the Urban and rural areas, PML-N, after winning about 9,109 electoral areas of female polling stations and 7,631 of the male stations emerged the leading party.
