Famous Stuntman faces legal battle as he marries 12-year-old girl in Chitral

A famous Pakistani stuntman named Sultan Mohammad Golden is in the middle of a legal battle after allegedly marrying a 12-year-old minor girl, Samreen Sahar. However, the girl’s father and Golden claim that she is above 18 years of age.

The 60-year-old became famous after setting a world record of jumping over 22 cars in 1987.

According to details, Sahar’s father had concealed her school certificate and vaccination card – after which he obtained a birth certificate recording her age as above 18 years. Based on that certificate, her Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) was obtained from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

As per news reports, the district administration in the KP’s Chitral district interceded, after which the questionable birth certificate was altered. The concerned marriage registrar also canceled the marriage contract.

In September, the administration also reportedly requested NADRA to take legal action against the offenders, including Golden and Sahar’s father, Azizur Rehman, under the NADRA 2000 Ordinance for fraudulently acquiring a CNIC and concealing the child’s age.

Official sources told local media the controversial marriage of Golden with the minor girl took place in July. Following this, the issue was raised with the administration by a local civil society organization.

The case will be presented in a local court in Chitral on the 24th of October.

  • So the guy already married the girl and presumably had his way with her. Why wasn’t it stopped before? The girls father should also be locked up with him.
