Fawad Chaudhary to equip police with latest technology to increase confidence in public
To assure quality service delivery mechanism, modern technology has become the main pre-requisite.

He said that the government will to equip our law enforcement agencies (LEAs) with the latest technology.
It will improve service delivery mechanism to provide maximum protection to ordinary citizens.
Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that it is the high need of the time to equip police forces with the latest technology to improve the service delivery mechanism and elevate efficiency. It will also help increase public confidence, which is declining due to sluggish provision of services, cases of custodial killings and image plagued by corruption.

He said that we live in an era of social media and in the modern time, to keep up with the pace of the developing world, it is important and in fact fundamental to equip our law enforcement agencies (LEAs) with the latest technology.
Adding to it, Fawad Ch said that in the advanced, modern world, the crimes are far more organized and dangerous in the impact. So to cater to that, the governments need to be more proactive and should have an efficient service delivery mechanism to provide maximum protection to ordinary citizens. To assure that, modern technology has become the main pre-requisite.
With the police, the usage of technology in the government processes helps to achieve good governance while increasing competitiveness and effectiveness in work. As the use of technology increases transparency, information collection, and conveyance of data and accountability, it will have a positive impact on overall organizational values.
Technology further assists in promoting the efficient delivery of public goods and services. Further, it offers a high level of security to combat cyber risks.
