FBR collections increase by 16% to Rs 2080 billion in the first half of FY 2019-20

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) put in an exceptional performance by collecting revenues worth Rs.2080 billion during the first half of the current fiscal year.

Satisfaction over FBR’s performance

In a Tweet on Tuesday, the FBR Chairman, Syed Shabbar Zaidi, has expressed satisfaction over the performance of the FBR.

Increased by 16%

The Chairman stated the revenue collection witnessed an increase of 16% during the first half of the current fiscal year as compared to the same period last year.

Syed Shabbar Zaidi tweeted, “Alhamdulillah FBR has collected Rs. 2080 billion during the first half of the current fiscal year that ended on December 31, 2019. This is higher by 16 percent over last year for the same period.”
