Due to fear of leaking information, Shahbaz Sharif doubts his own party leaders

Shahbaz Sharif as of today convened a meeting of party leaders. The main agenda of the meeting was to decide about participating in Maulana’s Azadi March. Mr.Sharif forbade his own party leaders from carrying the mobile phones at the place of meeting.

He did so due to the fear of leaking the information, ARY News reported. It is quite uncertain whether Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman will carry out long march or will turn the protest into a sit-in like the one held in 2014. PML-N’s supremo who is currently serving his jail term has decided to fully back the Fazl-ur-Rehman upcoming protests and also advised not to show any kind of negligence in this regard.

In his letter written from the prison, Mr. Sharif called for a joint strategy in consultation with Maulana on the protest plan leaving the option of the sit-in as per the situation. According to a news report available with Dawn, PML-N’s spokesperson Mariyam Aurangzeb said that both Shahbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman will jointly announce the protest strategy after a meeting on October 16 in Lahore.

The meeting censured the premier and the incumbent government for involving the state institutions in controversies making the parliament ineffective by issuing ordinances, weakening the federation, suppressing freedom of media. Apart from this the outgoing ruling party also held the incumbent government responsible for the drastic economic meltdown within the country.

Maulana who is making headlines nowadays despite losing his seat in 2018 General Elections has warned the PTI Government to resign within the few days or else be ready to be kicked out by him. The Azadi March which is in talks, for now, will be heading towards the capital of the country.
