Federal Cabinet Approves The Launch of New Airline
The federal cabinet has reportedly approved to launch a new airline, AirSial.
According to media reports, the federal cabinet met under the chair of Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss the 16-point agenda. The federal cabinet gave the nod for the launch of AirSial.
The aforementioned airline is an initiative of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry. It is expected to start its operations this year.
Recently, AirSial closed a lease agreement with AerCap. The Pakistani airline will be acquiring three Airbus A320 aircraft in the second quarter of the current year.
AerCap is the the world’s largest independent aircraft leasing company with assets worth $43.5 billion. It owns 1,360 aircrafts.
Moreover, the cabinet decided to make a decision later on the appointment of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) chief executive officer (CEO).
