Federal government intends to launch Ehsaas petrol cards

After Sehat cards the federal government has decided to launch the Ehsaas Petrol Cards for motorcyclists to buy petrol at a subsidized rate.

According to an official announcement made on Thursday, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Shaukat Tarin, chaired the Macro-Economic Advisory Group (MEAG) meeting at the Finance Division.

One meeting participant told a source that three points came under discussion, including supporting the middle-class against high inflation.

The meeting considered proposals like subsidized fuel, tax reliefs, a rise in income/minimum wages, internships (for educated unemployed), economic reforms, especially in the energy sector, and consistent policy maintenance.

Meanwhile, Tarin also presided over the Steering Committee of the Kamyab Pakistan Program (KPP).

The Chairman NPHDA, President Bank of Punjab, Chairman SECP, Founder of Akhuwat Foundation, Dr. Amjad Saqib, and senior officers attended the meeting.
