Female Police Officer declared the Best Crime Fighter in Lahore

Breaking gender stereotypes and surpassing all her male counterparts, a female police officer has been declared the bets crime fighter in Lahore. Her performance was shown in the annual performance report of Lahore police investigation wing showed that the Model Town Superintendent Police (Investigation) Dr. Anoosh Masood Chaudhry has shown excellent resilience and consistency in solving criminal cases during the past year.

As per the revealed details, mentioned in the report, under her supervision in 2018 Model Town division (investigation) police filed challans of 74 per cent crime cases in the local courts. The police report further revealed that the Civil Lines division attained the second position while the Cantonment division police got the third position followed by the Iqbal Town police division.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Dr Waheed and B.A Nasir, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), appreciated the efforts on SP. They said that it is due to her efforts that the crime rate has significantly dropped in Lahore.

This is not only first honour Dr Anoosh has on her name. She is also the first woman to be appointed as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Her appointment was made in the year 2014. She was also the first woman who passed the CSS 2011 40th Common batch from Peshawar. This speaks for her competence in itself and she has well reflected it in her profession overall.

Since then, She has been performing her duty in the Crime Investigation departments first in KP and then in Punjab. Women like her are not only setting new precedents in the service but are also eradicating the gender barriers, leading to increased trust in the department.
