Feroz Khan defends his role in Khuda aur Muhabbat 3, says ‘there is nothing toxic about Farhad’
In a recent interview with BBC Asian Network, the actor talked about the success of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.
Pakistani actor Feroze Khan has said that ‘there is nothing toxic about Farhad,’ a character he played in the critically acclaimed drama Khuda aur Muhabbat 3.
In an interview with BBC Asian Network, the actor talked about the success of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. When the host, Haroon Rashid, asked about the hate that Farhad is getting due to toxic comparisons, Khan said, “First of all, it has become a benchmark, I mean people are talking about it, it turned tables and crossed 51 million views. It is something huge, so it is a big success.”
Feroze added, “Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 is for those who have an understanding of Farhad’s character. It is fine if some people are disliking it because those who are hating have their own views. Probably, they have not understood Farhad’s feelings, and it is not just all about hatred people are admiring it too.”
In response to a question regarding how Farhad misinterpreted Mahi’s kindness and aggressively pursued her after she repeatedly told him no, Khan said, “There is nothing toxic about Farhad.”
The Ishqia actor said that he is not defending Farhad and just talking about what he understands about the character.

He stated, “Farhad was just confused. What was that behavior when Mahi offered him a beverage? Back there, you were a friend, and you were all smiles and laughs, and you were shaking hands and waving at me.”
Khan said, ” Maybe you[Mahi] should smile at him and tell him, ‘Hey, what’s up? I want to tell you there is nothing going on. We are just friends.’ But how she treated him made him stubborn.”
Haroon then agreed to give Farhad ‘the benefit of the doubt’ to which Feroze answered, “Don’t even give him the benefit of the doubt, Farhad is a good guy, and that is it, end of discussion.”
The host even asked, ‘Is Farhad a stalker?’ to which Feroze replied, “Let’s go back into the episodes and look at who started stalking who first. I am not saying who is good or bad. I am just saying this is a beautiful story that people are loving, watching and enjoying. I am only looking at the figures and recognition.”
