FIA offloaded frontman of Sharif family from a Manchester bound flight
- Muhammad Sajid (the frontman of Sharif family) was arrested by FIA only after his name appeared on the exit control list.
- Sajid was alleged to involve in the money-laundering which he did for the former chief minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz.
The premium investigation agency of Pakistan this Wednesday offloaded a frontman of the Sharif family and handed him over to National Accountability Bureau. He was offloaded from a Manchester bound flight at Allama Iqbal International Airport. According to the officials, Muhammad Sajid (the frontman of Sharif family) was arrested only after his name appeared on the black-list a media report read.
Sajid was alleged to involve in the money-laundering which he did for the PML-N president and former chief minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz, said an official, adding that the suspect’s name was included in the exit control list at the request of NAB Lahore and he has been given in NAB custody for the purpose of investigations.
Both Hamza Shahbaz and Shahbaz Sharif are currently facing charges of money laundering and the later is in NAB custody in money laundering and Ramzan Sugar Mills case.
Hamza got arrested by anti-graft watchdog in June from within the premises of Lahore High Court into two cases after several failed attempts to arrest him. PML-N leaders have been in the corridors of power for so many years and being accused of corruption and mishandling of public money.
