Finally, hectic task of degree attestation is over! HEC to launch e-verification of documents
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has decided to introduce e-verification service for educational documents.
PM’s advisor Dr. Ishrat Hussain has directed HEC to manage all degree presenting institutions to launch e-verification services.
IT General Manager, Burhan Rasool has given a detailed presentation on the working process of online verification and degree attestation.
“E-verification was not possible without reliable registration and it would be in place soon,” HEC chairman.
Finally, the maddening task of degree attestation is over. If you have ever been to the HEC office for degree attestation, you would probably agree that it truly is a nightmare. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has decided to launch e-verification service for educational documents.
PM’s advisor Dr. Ishrat Hussain has ordered HEC to direct all degree-presenting institutions to launch e-verification services for its graduate students.
HEC was directed to maintain an online system where copies of issued degrees will be automatically submitted to the degree awarding institutions.
HEC chairman Tariq Banuri said that the registration process have started few months ago. He further said, “e-verification was not possible without reliable registration and it would be in place soon.”
However, IT General Manager, Burhan Rasool has given detailed presentation on the working process of online verification and degree attestation.
Rasool added, “On one hand forgery of academic documents was becoming rampant and on the other hand holders of genuine educational documents were facing a lot of problems during the attestation of various documents.”
Online verification and e-attestation document plan
- According to the plan, digitization of verified and attested documents will be available on the portal.
- Updates and information will also be available on the portal at regular basis.
- All the degree-awarding institutions would digitize results of students and provide online degree verification services.
- Every year, a copy of results and issued degrees will also be submitted to HEC for record protection.
