First balloting for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme to be conducted in Punjab today
As of now, about 1.15 million people have registered themselves for the scheme.

First balloting under the Naya Pakistan Housing Project in the largest province of the country is going to held on Saturday today. The first draw for the allotment of the houses under the landmark housing project will be held in the Lodhran District of Punjab.
According to the reports, the Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed will inaugurate at the project site Chak 100M. Minister also informed about the next balloting that will be held in Renala Khurd, District Okara in the upcoming week.
As of September 26th, over a million people registered themselves for the scheme. The registration process is done at the National Database and Registration Authority’s E Sahulat Franchise Center and online Website with payment of 250 PKR as the registration fee.
Among the applicants over 70 percent are the males whereas females that applied for the NPHS are merely 30 percent. The project was launched during the first year of the PTI Government and the last date for the registration would be the 15th of the ongoing month.
The scheme will provide affordable houses to low-income groups and about 5 million houses would be constructed under the scheme. The scheme was especially projected to facilitate the salaried class and low-income people and its countrywide registration process would enable the relevant authorities to ascertain the public demand for housing facilities.
