Everything you need to know about Pakistan’s first-ever locally manufactured Samsung smartphone
Keeping in mind the much-needed technological advancement, Pakistan has finally launched its first-ever smartphone manufactured locally.
Technology’s progress can’t be limited; humans can only try to match its fast pace. In doing so, some countries tend to succeed better than the rest in taking the lead in the world’s technological advancement. However, recently Pakistan has also been spreading its wings to participate in critical technological initiatives.
This decision to jump into the technological realm stems from the Government of Pakistan’s belief that without investment in technology and IT, the country can not progress. Indeed, competing with countries possessing top-notch technologies and innovations can never be fruitful if Pakistan continues to stick with traditional ideas.
Keeping in mind the much-needed technological advancement, Pakistan has finally launched its first-ever smartphone manufactured locally.

The Merger between Samsung and Lucky Group
According to reports, the Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) joined hands with Samsung Gulf Electronics in July 2021 to manufacture Samsung gadgets in Pakistan. Following the deal, Samsung mobile phones were manufactured in the existing LMC plant at the Bin Qasim Industrial Park. The smartphone production was completed in December 2021, and a month later, the mobile phone was launched.
Experts believe that the local manufacturing of Samsung mobile phones will take the country to new heights. More companies will approach Pakistan shortly to set up manufacturing plants. This historic moment paves the way to more opportunities, hopefully leading the country towards dramatic progress.
