First verdict of the new CJ: The dismissal of a patwari

As per the detailed verdict, the patwari was found violating the orders of court proving him guilty of misconduct.

Gulzar Ahmed, new Chief Justice of Pakistan, announced his first verdict as CJ this Monday, in which Muhammad Nawaz, a patwari, was dismissed.

As per the detailed verdict, the patwari was found violating the orders of court proving him guilty of misconduct.

The counsel of Muhammad Nawaz congratulated Justice Gulzar Ahmed for his new designation. He also called himself fortunate as the hearing of his case was conducted by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed.

According to the defendant, the tehsildar, as well as gardawar, were involved in the violation as well; however, the patwari was considered responsible for the entire matter. The appeal of Muhammad Nawaz was dismissed by the apex court, which resulted in termination back in 2012.

Apart from that, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah clearly stated that the court wouldn’t take part in the irrelevant details; whilst, he directed the opposing counsel to gather and present relevant arguments in regards to the case of Muhammad Nawaz.
