In an exciting new development, five Pakistani universities have been added in QS Sustainability Rankings 2023.
The rankings include universities for their environmental and social sustainability performance. It is also important to mention that this is the list’s first edition, and it has ranked universities on the basis of their ability to handle social, governance and environmental challenges.
Pakistani universities in the QS Sustainability Rankings 2023:
The universities in the QS Sustainability Rankings are:
- COMSATS University Islamabad
- NUST (National University of Sciences and Technology) Islamabad
- University of Agriculture Faisalabad
- Quaid-i-Azam University
- Punjab University
QS has ranked the universities by judging their performance on the main indicators of social impact and environmental sustainability. The former is further divided into sustainable education, institutions, research and the other is divided into knowledge exchange, educational impact, employability, quality of life and more.
Overall, the University of California, Berkeley topped the list, with being the number one in Environmental Impact and Social Impact. It was followed by the University of Toronto. The University of British Columbia ranked third, meanwhile the University of Edinburgh ranked fourth.
