Fort Munro Incident: Suspect Granted Pre-Arrest Bail & DNA Test Report Delayed, Victim Reveals
One of the suspects in the Fort Munro incident, where a German-American travel blogger was allegedly raped by her tour guide, has been granted pre-arrest bail. This was revealed by the victim, Arabela, on her Instagram.
She wrote that one of the suspects – Azaan Khosa – hasn’t been arrested yet. The German-American travel blogger added that her alleged rapist obtained a pre-arrest bail and is scheduled to appear in front of the court on August 6.
On the other hand, her online friend and tour guide – Muzammil Sipra – is in the police’s custody and ‘his remand has been extended until July 31st. Arabela further wrote that one of his mobile phones has been sent to forensics for data recovery, while his other phone is still missing.
The travel blogger also talked about the DNA test report, which according to her, has been subjected to delays and is still pending. “Samples were collected on July 20,” she added.
The Fort Munro incident has been widely condemned on social media. Netizens have demanded justice for the victim and urged the authorities to take strict action against the suspects.
