Four Persons Linked With High Profile Corruption Cases Who Died Under Mysterious Circumstances

In the last few years, a number of officers investigating high profile cases have died mysteriously. In this article, we will be taking a look at some of the most popular deaths which have been directly linked with the cases they are investigating or their role in it.

Maqsood Chaprasi

Maqsood Chaprasi is one of the most common name we have been hearing in the money laundering investigation. Just a few days ago, he was reported dead abroad.

His Connection With The Money Laundering Investigation:

In December last year, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) filed a challan against PM Shehbaz and his son CM Punjab Hamza Shehbaz for their alleged role in laundering billion of rupees in the sugar scam case. As per FIA, the Sharifs kept the money in the secret accounts of their employees.

As per a copy of the FIA challan, Maqsood worked as a peon in the famous Ramzan Sugar Mills. In the challan, it was claimed that multiple benami accounts were opened in his name with million of rupees of transactions.

Former Director FIA Dr. Rizwan:

Doctor Rizwan was responsible for investigating a number of high profile cases against PTI dissident Jahangir Tareen and PM Shehbaz Sharif and others. The former FIA director died of a heart attack on May 9 this year.

Former PM Imran Khan claimed that he was killed. During a jalsa, the ex PM said that he will reveal the name of the poison which was used to induce a heart attack and kill the former director of the FIA.

Kamran Faisal:

Kamran Faisal was another FIA investigating officer whose death raised many questions. He was investigating a corruption case against the current Speaker of National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in 2013.

He was was found dead in his hostel room in Islamabad. His body was hanging from the ceiling fan. Although, the initial investigation showed he committed suicide, however, his family suspected foul play in his death.

Chaudhry Ijaz Mahmood

Chaudhry Ijaz Mahmood is a famous name in the Pakistan’s politics due to his association with the money laundering case involving Ayyan Ali. In 2015, he was murdered outside his house by two unidentified men.

His widow, Saima Ijaz, held the model responsible for her husband’s death. According to her, Ijaz Mahmood was the officer who took official custody of the currency recovered from Ali in March 2015. Saima Ijaz stated that her husband was under a lot of pressure. She had also claimed that her husband had received calls from unknown people to make false entries in the official record to protect Ali or weaken the case against her.

  • Kamran was murdered. It is evident from his autopsy. NAIB and the doctors Panel lied. He had a second autopsy by digging his body. The Lahore autopsy Dept made the report and called it “murder”. This is in his file in the supreme court. Everybody is waiting for Allah’s judgement.
