Pakistan cricket team fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, will now be wearing the iconic number 10 shirt. The number 10 was previously worn by legendary cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the national cricket team’s new kit today. They will be wearing the new kit in the home series against the New Zealand cricket team.

The PCB shared pictures of the cricketers wearing the new kit on its social media.

In the video shared on Instagram, Shaheen Shah Afridi can be seen donning the new kit with a new number, the iconic number 10.

Before this, the left arm fast bowler used to wear the number 40 for the national cricket team. Shaheen Afridi took to his Twitter account and said that he is ‘humbled and honoured’.

“This is more than a shirt number. It represents honesty, integrity and immense love for Pakistan. I am humbled and honored that I will be now representing Pakistan in shirt # 10 of Lala @SAfridiOfficial . Nothing but Pakistan.”

The 21 year old has represented Pakistan in 19 test matches, 28 one day internationals and 30 T20I matches. He has taken 161 wickets across all the three formats.

The first ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played tomorrow in Rawalpindi.
