Gautam Gambhir Gets Mercilessly Trolled Over His Comments About Shahid Afridi

Pakistan and India’s rivalry is known as one of the biggest ones in the world of sports.

Although, most of the players are pretty friendly off the field but Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir’s rivalry goes beyond the cricket field. It all started in 2007 in Guwahati, during Pakistan’s tour of India, when the two engaged in a verbal fight.

Since then, the two has been engaged in social media feuds a few times. Recently, a paragraph or two from Shahid Afridi’s autobiography, Game Changer, about Gautam Gambhir has been doing rounds.

“(Gautam Gambhir) and his attitude problem. He, who has no personality. He, who is barely a character in the great scheme of cricket. He has no great records, just a lot of attitude. He behaves like he’s a cross between Don Bradman and James Bond,” Afridi wrote in his autobiography.

Replying to Shahid Afridi’s lack of record comments about him, Gautam Gambhir said that he had scored a fifty against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2007, while Afridi got out for a zero.

“Someone who doesn’t remember his age how will he remember my records! OK @SAfridiOfficial let me remind u one: 2007 T20 WC final, Ind Vs Pak Gambhir 75 off 54 balls Vs Afridi 0 off 1 ball. Most imp: We won the Cup. And yes, I’ve attitude towards liars, traitors & opportunists,” Gambhir tweeted.

Following his tweet, Pakistan cricket fans mercilessly trolled him for mentioning his fifty against Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Fans reminded him of Shahid Afridi being the Man of Tournament during the world cup.
