PTI Foreign Funding Case: General (retd) Ahmed Shuja Pasha Serves Legal Notice To PML N Leader

General Ahmed Shuja Pasha

Former Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Ahmed Shuja Pasha has sent a defamation notice to former PML N MPA from Balochistan Santosh Kumar Bugti.

The notice was served after the PML N leader accused the former spymaster of arranging funds for Imran Khan and his party through Arif Naqvi. He made the claim in a tweet on Sunday.

Santosh Kumar Bugti further added that Ahmed Shuja Pasha met Arif Naqvi multiple times in Dubai in 2011.

Lieutenant General (retd) Shuja Pasha termed the former PML N MPA’s statement “a pack of lies.”

The legal notice also clarified that the ex-DG ISI met the Abraaj founder only once in Dubai. However, he never met Imran Khan outside Pakistan, including Dubai.

“It’s a pity that you involved Sheikh Al-Nahyan in this bogus dispute. Shuja Pasha respects Sheikh Al-Nahyan,” the notice reads.

It added that General Pasha was never asked by Sheikh Al-Nahyan to meet an Indian or Emirati businessman. He also refuted the allegation of sending gifts to Arif Naqvi in his notice.

General Pasha has asked Santosh Bugti to retract the allegations within 14 days and apologize.
