Good news: More international cricket teams to visit Pakistan soon
National Security Adviser (NSA) Moeed Yusuf has shared some more good news with the cricket enthusiasts in the country. According to the NSA, more big teams will soon be coming to Pakistan to play in front of the Pakistani fans.
Moeed Yusuf was spotted watching a Pakistan Super League match at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. During a brief talk with media, he termed the perception about Pakistan not being safe for international teams as unfortunate.
The National Security Adviser was happy to see the return of international cricket to Pakistan. “Unfortunately, this thing [wrong perception] sometimes gets in the way,” he said.
He added that Pakistan’s image has been ‘misrepresented to the world during the last two decades.’
“Some unfortunate terror incidents had indeed taken place but the international cricket has returned to Pakistan after Allah granted us success in overcoming terrorism.”
Moeed Yusuf further stated in the future more teams will visit Pakistan after Australia’s tour. He also recalled some fond childhood memories.
