[APPLY] In a first, Google announces $1000 yearly scholarship for Pakistani women

Google has announced the ‘Generation Google Scholarship’ for the year 2021-2022 aimed at women in technology. The program focuses on women in the computer sciences and engineering fields particularly and aims to provide them a platform to excel in the respective fields.

The short-listed students will receive $1000 financial assistance for an entire educational year. As per Google, the scholarship will be provided to women with strong leadership skills and academic credentials. Moreover, the tech giant expects a display of inclusion and diversity as part of this program.

REQUIREMENTS:

• The applicant must identify as a female.
• Must be a first or second-year student pursuing Computer Science or any relevant degree.

Following that, the eligible candidates will be required to submit their CV along with transcripts. After the acceptance of the application, the students will be required to compete in an online challenge, leading to final selection.
