Government announces a significant hike in E-passport fees
An official notification has also been released.
The Federal government has just announced a hike in the E-passport fee. All passport issuing authorities, here and abroad, have been notified by The Directorate of Immigration and Passports in this regard.
An official notification has also been released. According to the notification, the fee for a 36-page passport with a validity of 5 years is Rs. 9,000 and for a 36-page passport but with a validity of 10 years, it is Rs. 13,500.
The urgent fee for the same passport with 5-year and 10-year validity is Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 22,500 respectively.
For a 72-page passport with a 5-year validity, the revised price is Rs. 16,500 and a normal fee for a 72-page passport with 10-year validity is now Rs. 24,750.
On the other hand, the urgent fee for the same passport with a 5-year validity would now be Rs. 27,000 and for 10-year validity, it would be Rs. 40,500.
