Government relaunches Laptop Scheme for awarding high scoring matriculation students

According to recent reports, students who will pass matriculation examinations with high marks will be awarded laptops by the government. The decision was taken by relevant authorities, following the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The laptop scheme has been re-launched by the current government in a bid to award students who would perform well at the matriculation level examinations.

Relaunching of the Laptop Scheme

Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal recently held a detailed meeting with vice-chancellors of the public sector universities. The meeting was organized to seek suggestions that can help students improve their learning skills in the universities.

During the meeting, the ministry officials also gave their input on the earlier performance of the laptop scheme. Hearing about its success, Ahsan Iqbal approved the relaunch of the scheme even though the government is facing a financial crunch due to the declining national economy.

Sources state that the laptop scheme will now become a permanent feature of PM Shehbaz Sharif’s government strategy. Experts hope that the laptop scheme proves to be fruitful and motivates several students to become competitive and able enough to meet the maturing challenges of the local and international markets.
