FIA can now punish those who 'create or promote propaganda' against forces on social media

The government is deciding to add a legislation to the FIA act, under which those who ‘create or promote’ propaganda on social media against forces will be punished.

Following this decision, the FIA will have full autonomy, after the addition of Article 505 of PPC to agency’s act. Now, those who tweet, make videos or vlogs against the Army, Navy or Air Force could go to jail for seven years.

This decision has been made after it was remarked that hateful campaigns on social media could lead to conflicts between the forces.
