Hafiz-e-Quran children of police officials to receive cash prizes of Rs1 lac

Punjab has announced cash prizes for Hafiz-e-Quran children of police officials.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Faisal Shahkar, has published the IGP Merit Certificate, under which, Rs1 lac will be awarded to children who have memorized the Holy Quran. Official notification was also issued on the matter. It stated that officers or officials can fill out the form and submit it in 15 days. After the verification process is completed, the deserving children will be given cash prizes from the Punjab Police Welfare Fund.

Free education for children of Punjab Police’s martyred officers

Earlier in August, the Chief Minister (CM) Punjab, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi announced free education for children of Punjab Police’s martyred officers.

This decision was announced at the ceremony of the ‘Police Martyrs Day,’ which took place in Lahore on 4th August. He declared that the provincial government is working on introducing legislation for free education for children of shaheed police officers. He said that the compensation amount paid to martyred officers will also be increased under the legislation. He assured families of the martyred police officers that the sacrifices of their loved ones will not go unnoticed.
